The bar buster product family is designed to assist security and rescue forces in various tasks which require forced entry or rescuing trapped people in a confined space (Such as mining accidents, car accidents, hostage situations and more). The device is highly versatile, all components can be adjusted, and twisted to fit the scene, as well as having the ability to be operated horizontally (as a bar buster) and vertically (similar to rams jack). Both methods can be carried out quickly and easily. Although small, the device is very powerful and does not require an external power source.

Self-contained models include a strap which allows the operator to put it over his/her head and have both hands free while not using the device. Units with the extension cord will give the operator more flexibility in terms of using one pump for various tools, as well as making it easy to tackle narrow and awkward situations.

The Bar buster comes in various sizes, however the whole product family is designed to be carried operated by a single person.
